You did say something about not being able to partition your drive, and maybe before looking for discs it would be worth making sure you actually have a volume you can install on. So maybe there is actually a hard drive problem of some sort.

It would be worth looking up your Mac by serial number to find out for certain, as the late 2011 MBP did originally ship with Lion. Usually if an older Mac shipped with discs, Internet Recovery is not available at all. However, since you are being offered Lion, I wonder if your Mac might have actually originally shipped with it? If you got it at school, Apple might have pre-installed Lion on it for the school. The discs cost $16 each last time I bought them, and there are two of them.

I don't know if replacement install discs are still available from Apple for this Mac, but if you can get it done for free at the Apple Store that would be a better option for you. Snow Leopard can be updated to where the Mac App Store is available, and the new owner can install anything they want under their own Apple ID. If you have access to an Apple Store, they could probably do this for you from their store feed. Loads to 100% and try reinstall again and same fails. So rebooted with cmd +R+alt to download internet OS. I have checked via terminal that PRAM lists disk3 states Recovery HD and rebooted again still unable to find partition. I have used DU and repaired hdd and verified and all ok. Its a early 2011 MB Pro i7 2ghz Model ID MacbookPro8,2 MAC OS X 10.7.5 (11G63) Kernel vers. Tried to erase and reinstall OS X 10.7 my macbook pro,but it failed,it says i cant install on my recovery disk,and i cant partition my hard drive.
